Bridge Technologies and TV-Connect Partner for Austrian Distribution of IPTV Monitoring Products

Bridge Technologies has announced that TV-Connect Broadcast Systems has been appointed to distribute and support Bridge Technologies’ award-winning VideoBRIDGE IPTV monitoring system in Austria. Vienna-based TV-Connect will provide support, sales, and consultancy to IPTV providers seeking an advanced solution for end-to-end fault tracking and performance analysis in the IPTV delivery chain.

The VideoBridge system is the first true headend-to-set-top-box monitoring solution available in the industry and includes a full range of IP Probes for analysis at any point in the chain from satellite to set-top-box, where Bridge Technologies’ microVB provides the industry’s first viable solution for continuous monitoring of service quality in the subscriber’s premises.

“It’s vital in today’s market for IPTV providers to ensure the highest possible service quality, while at the same time containing operating costs,” said Walter Winzel, CEO, TV-Connect. “The VideoBRIDGE system is the most advanced technology for tracking faults anywhere in the IPTV delivery chain, so that they can be corrected quickly, before the customer is affected. By ensuring that operators can accurately and rapidly identify faults, VideoBRIDGE also helps keep infrastructure investment and maintenance costs to a minimum, making it more economic to expand services and grow the subscriber base.“

The award-winning VideoBRIDGE series of probes offers an innovative approach to monitoring and analysis of converging services employing stream-based IP packets. Compatible with all major stream-based industrial standards such as MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, and DVB/ATSC - ETSI TR 101 290, the VideoBRIDGE series offers a complete end-to-end system for the continuous quality assurance of a network. With full support of the innovative MEDIAWINDOW™ (patented), the VideoBRIDGE series is at the forefront of IPTV measurement and monitoring technologies.

“The huge increase in demand for Bridge Technologies systems in the past year is a sign that IPTV operators have correctly identified the importance of monitoring as a key component in the delivery of an attractive service to customers,” said Bridge Technologies Sales Director Philip Burnham. “The IPTV industry is mature enough now to expand rapidly by providing services that genuinely deliver on the promise of the technology, without service issues compromising the user experience. TV-Connect is the ideal partner to help IPTV operators in the Austrian market realize this potential with a VideoBRIDGE monitoring system.”
