NEWS/QAM and COFDM input interfaces for the VB120 and VB220 IP-PROBES now available

(Oslo, Norway - 5th September 2007)

BRIDGETECH (Oslo, Norway) QAM as well as COFDM input interfaces for the VB120 and VB220 IP-PROBES now available

Cable, Satellite and Terrestrial operators are now utilizing packet switched networks for television distribution as never before. That means increased complexity at the edges of the network where the modulation typically takes place. With the Bridgetech VB260-QAM and VB250-COFDM input interfaces operators effectively minimize operational costs by deploying proactive monitoring at the edges.

When deployed together with the new VB120 BROADCAST IP-PROBE, 10 service streams either MPTS or SPTS can be monitored and analyzed with full TR101290 level-1-3 alarming continuously. The services can be any combination of QAM, COFDM, ASI or GigE inputs. Up to 2 input interfaces can be used together with the VB120 in the 1”RU chassis. The VB260 QAM interface has been deployed in customer trials sine March this year with enthusiastic customer response.

"When our VB120 probes are packaged with our RF interfaces we are able to provide all Cable and DTT operators with a powerful tool." states BRIDGE Technologies CEO Rolf Ollmar. He further states that "offered in this package are all the features enabling operators to undertake extensive confidence monitoring across network connections within budgets that would previously have been impossible.”
