NEWS/Release of the VB12 and VB120 BROADCAST IP-PROBEs with full TR101290 alarming and analysis
(Oslo, Norway - 5th September 2007)
BRIDGETECH (Oslo, Norway) announces the VB12 and VB120 BROADCAST IP-PROBEs with full TR101290 alarming and analysis.
At the IBC2007 show in Amsterdam the BRIDGETECH VB12 portable and VB120 rack mounted Broadcast IP-Probes will be released. These latest additions to the Bridgetech portfolio now make full remote TR101290 monitoring an affordable option for edge deployment. Building on BRIDGETECH’s successful VB20 and VB220 IP-PROBES, the new Broadcast probes have an even smaller footprint. The portable version has an unique form-factor enabling deployment even in roadside Telco cabinets subjected to extreme weather conditions.
The new Broadcast probes are capable of real-time monitoring of up to 10 concurrent services with support for any of the following: IP/Ethernet streams with GigE interface; ASI input and output or (with the rack mount version) COFDM (via the VB250 card) or QAM (via the VB260 card). All TR101290 parameters are continuously analyzed for a full 10 services.
The VB12 is a direct result of the advanced research and development done by the BRIDGETECH team over many years into defining the ultimate engineering tools. The ruggedized portable Broadcast probe is manufactured from a solid aluminum block using advanced extrusion techniques. All heat is dissipated in the chassis eliminating both noisy fans and a potential point of failure. The unit is designed for low power consumption with the powersupply itself in-built, thus removing the liability of an external power brick. The form factor is a direct result of these various engineering demands and the requirement for a tough and handy unit.
The VB12 and VB120 ship with the latest version 3.1 firmware, harmonizing version numbers between the entire series of products and introducing a dramatic increase in UI features with the use of web 2.0 technologies such as AJAX. The web UI is completely compatible with standard web browsers and does not require any specially installed software or plug-in. Numerous new features are launched with this version including: new multicast detect and join tab; user selection of displayed general data; both MPEG2 and MPEG4 thumbnail decoding and many more.
"The new VB1 series is the most innovative hardware/software combination developed by the BRIDGETECH labs so far" states BRIDGE Technologies Chairman Simen K. Frostad. "The unique signature form factor coupled with the advanced new features make this product one of the most powerful portable tools available today, if not the most powerful."
